This book is about the importance of training and retraining of the firefighters to continuously equip them with new knowledge and new skills to handle life-threatening situations in the workplace. The critical factor here is the effective transfer of knowledge and skills that are learned during training to the workplace. Therefore, a new framework for effective training transfer for firefighters is developed and proposed which emphasizes two levels of training transfer climate. At the organizational level, there are three important supports, namely organizational support, supervisor support, and peer support. At the individual level, the critical factor is employee self-efficacy. The effect of training transfer climate on the effectiveness of training transfer is fully mediated by the motivation to improve work through learning or employee work motivation. We believe this book helps the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia to better serve the community and reduce incidences and fatalities among the firefighters.
